A Moment with the Gypsy Fortune Cards: The House, The Anchor (reversed), The Rider

The House, The Anchor (reversed), The Rider If today's message resonates with you, book a reading or show me some love at buymeacoffee.com/thegiftedreader . The quick read: What's normally secure feels a bit insecure now, but this is a hurdle that can be cleared. The more in-depth read: This was a personal read, but it's a message that I'm sure a lot of folks can relate to. I'm in a situation that I honestly thought I'd be out of by now. Every time I get into a groove of making great progress, there's always something trying to slow me down. Is it me? Am I doing something wrong? Not necessarily. These cards come from a gypsy fortune deck. The House represents stability and security. The Anchor also represents stability and being grounded. The Rider represents change, overcoming obstacles, and momentum. At the heart of this spread is the Anchor in the reversed position. This means you're still floating. You can't dock yet because there is still mor...

Spirit Talk: A Tarot Reading with Prince - Part 1

This is a little bit of new territory for me. I am sharing a video of a tarot reading that I did on Prince recently. Whether you believe in tarot readings or not, it is something that I've been practicing for years, and I don't take it lightly. I've been sharing some of my readings online for a few years now. The new part is me sharing my very raw and personal journal entry, which you can read below the video. However, I feel like the events of the day that I journaled about go hand in hand with what I recorded. I had two recorded sessions with Prince. Both sessions are currently on YouTube. If you want to support my work as a tarot reader and practitioner, check out my services at buymeacoffee.com/thegiftedreader. Journal Entry: In My Hair April 21, 2026 12:10 PM I just got back in my car from the food pantry line. I attend this one as often as they have it. No identifying questions asked. Not even my name. Just a few demographic questions that I'm sure help the organi...

New Moon in Aries Tarot: The Star

Help is on the way! This comes on the night of the new moon in Aries, which is April 16, 2026. It isn’t necessarily a new moon tarot pull, but I think it fits. I’m going to do a quick spiel on the primary card from this pull in this post. I’ll go a little deeper into the full three-card spread on my BuyMeACoffee page. Keywords: healing, hope, optimism, renewal, release Crafterian Golden Masquerade Tarot - https://amzn.to/4sEAnFi (Amazon Affiliate Link) In most traditional Rider-Waite decks, the Star is depicted with a feminine figure who is nude. She has one leg in the water and one leg on dry land. However, in this deck, she is depicted as someone who is happy-go-lucky. She’s fully clothed except for her feet. Her feet are bare. She appears to be hanging in mid-air after a gleeful leap. Her back is arched, and her face is towards the sky while the star shines above her head. It looks like she’s part of the constellations. Lately, I have been pulling cards with no questions asked. I ...

Me and My Little Lamb: A Resurrection Day Reflection

It’s Easter! I wrote this in early February 2026. Today seemed as good a day as any to share this while I think about the living things in my life, including the bouquet of flowers that I bought 11 days ago and the Rose of Jericho that I watered today. I shared a post on my other blog recently about what flowers have come to mean for me. That little grocery store bouquet sitting on my coffee table isn’t as full as it was on the day that I originally bought it, but it is still holding up pretty nicely. I think I have a couple more days of life left in them. And that Rose of Jericho? What better day than Easter to water it, even though I don’t necessarily celebrate Easter nowadays. The Rose of Jericho is a plant that looks dead until you water it. To use it in spiritual work is to bring new life and protection into whatever you’re praying for or manifesting.  This isn’t an official polished essay or blog post. This was just me writing freely and reflecting on blessings in my life. I...
